I'm running the OS and apps that were originally installed and no upgrades have occurred for me. This is - Win8.1 Pro on a Surface Pro 3 with MSO 2013. Out of the blue Outlook Today just stopped working and is "blank" as of about a week ago.
There were no new Outlook updates recently applied that I could back out and the few other relatively recent Windows updates are for other completely unrelated functions.
To be clear - there have been no recent updates/changes to Outlook or Windows and I'm running the OS and apps that were installed originally with the device.
I've attempted to fix this by doing both on and offline "outlook repairs", turning the home page on and off, removing the associated dll entirely and then "repairing", as well as creating brand new Outlook profiles... Still, nothing "fills
in the form" for Outlook Today. I just see the form headings for Calendar, Tasks, and Messages - nothing under them at all.
Given this, my sense is that the htm form in the dll is working as it should other than either where it points to retrieve the various live data elements (calendar, tasks, messages, etc) and/or the variables used to identify these locations are themselves
pointing to incorrect locations.
I've seen this specific problem in reports dating back for perhaps a half dozen years and in all sorts of combinations of Windows and versions of Outlook and can't believe there isn't some reasonable answer from MS as to what is happening and how to fix
it.
I'd sure appreciate any feedback/assistance to fix this as soon as possible as I rely heavily on the summary view that Outlook Today provides.
Thanks.
